Real Estate Seminar and Review Online

There are a lot of people who want to become licensed real estate brokers in the Philippines. You’d be surprised at how jampacked all these comprehensive real estate seminar and review (CRESR) sessions can be.

The main challenge of reviewees, however, is TIME. What with the traffic, our hectic full-time jobs… when will we have time to review? Also, it can get quite lonely when you struggle with a concept but there’s no one nearby to help you out.

We’ll be sharing with you some of the key things we’ve learned. Please remember, however, that you will need to formally attend a review (course runs for 24 hours) conducted by a DTI-accredited service provider.

Better do it this year, because I hear that next year, the 24-hour seminar requirement will be replaced by a four-year college course requirement.

Hi Grace. May I know what PRC webpage you are referring to? I visited http://www.prc.gov.ph but can’t seem to find info about an Oct 4, 2009 real estate brokers’ licensure exam conducted in places outside Metro Manila.

Please let us know where you read about that, Grace, so that we can verify.

From what I’ve heard, since there are no implementing guidelines yet (after control was transferred from the DTI to the PRC), there are no accredited service providers who will conduct review classes.

I learned from the PRC website that real estate broker’s licensure exams were conducted last October 4 in particular regions of the Philippines except Manila. Am I right? Too bad for me because I’m very interested to take it but was mislead by informations I rely on the web. Please enlighten me. What about that exam postponement regulation? May I please be updated about future schedules on seminars and review? For the meantime, please advise me about reliable resources for exam coverage, good textbooks or handouts to read. Thank you very much. Have a nice day! 🙂

@Yolly — You need to be a college graduate in order to take the real estate brokers’ licensure exam. Attendance of the 24-hour seminar/review is required under Department Administrative Order No. 7 (DAO 7) Series of 2007:

Prior to the filing of a Licensure Application, DAO 7, Section 1.1 also require all applicants to submit a Certificate of Attendance in a Comprehensive Real Estate Seminar (CRES) for Real Estate Practitioners held by a DTI-BTRCP and RESCOP accredited service provider.

This was implemented in the May 2008 exams. Perhaps your friend took the exam before May 2008?

If the PDF version of DAO 7 loads too slowly, here’s the HTML version.

Please also refer to the Requirements in taking the real estate brokers exam. Thanks!

can undergraduates take the brokers’ exam? and also, if attendance to a seminar or review is required. knew someone who did not attend a review seminar but was able to get a brokers’ license.

Various groups are organizing comprehensive real estate seminar and reviews which will be held around July 2009, in preparation for the October 2009 Real Estate Brokers’ Licensure Examination. We’ll most likely have more info starting the second half of June 2009.
