[From the Admin] You may qualify as an Assessor. Also, the next step after one becomes a real estate broker is to become an Appraiser, and then a real estate consultant. Good luck with your chosen career!
I would really want to be a broker since I have been a salesperson in a real estate company for almost 6 yrs now..My question is that, what if I’m not a graduate of a 4 yrs course since I have left 1 subject in my 5 yr course in BS Architecture..Does it make me qualified to take the Licensure exam for Real Estate Broker, since I have more than enough units than a 4 yr college graduate..Please advice. Thank you.
[From the Admin] The PRC will most likely request for a copy of your Diploma to show that you have graduated from college. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to try and request for consideration from the PRC, especially if you present your Transcript of Records that shows you’ve earned as many units as a typical graduate of a four-year course. I’m so excited about this review. I really wanted to be a broker as soon as possible. I just have a few question.
a. I thought that there is new law that will make the broker to be a formal one. Meaning, I have to be enrolled in a 4 years course for this.
b. I’m a 4th year engineering student. My class is from monday to friday. Is the seminar or review every saturday only? What do you think?
c. What are the requirements that is needed to take the review?
How many units in college degree is required, estimate pricing based on the last year review, etc. . .

[From the Admin] Thank you for your question. You’re referring to Section 14 of the RESA Law IRR (RA 9646) [Please see PRC Real Estate Brokers Licensure Exam Requirements]
For now, one of the requirements is that you’re a graduate of at least a 4-year relevant college course. There’s no formal B.S. Real Estate Service or B.S. Real Estate Management course yet.
The offline, regular, face-to-face Comprehensive Real Estate Seminar and Review (CRESAR) sessions will most likely be offered during weekdays also, because the PRC is requiring 120 hours (or about fifteen 8-hour days).
If an accredited review will offer “Saturday only” CRESARs, that will take 15 weeks. It’s certainly do-able, but we haven’t seen any accredited review service providers offering such a package.
The RESAR Online Review (a web-based membership site), on the other hand, is available to you when you connect to the internet. Please note, however, that you will not earn credit units via the online review. The online review is optional.
Requirements to take the review? The reviews are open to everyone who’s interested. The PRC, however, has requirements on who may actually take the real estate brokers’ licensure examinations.
Do you have any non-online review which will be held at Cebu or Manila?
