Face-to-Face Real Estate Review or CRESAR
RESAR on Nov 22 2010 | Filed under: General, Real Estate Review
If you’re looking for the face-to-face schedule of real estate reviews, what you are actually interested in is called a Comprehensive Real Estate Seminar and Review or CRESAR. Other people call it CRESR, and some even write CRES_R. Anyway, here’s what you need to know about the CRESAR…
The PRC requires you to earn “120 credit units” in real estate brokerage before you may apply for the real estate brokers’ licensure examinations.
The RESAR Online Review is not accredited, and it will not earn you any Certificate of Completion. Its main purpose is to help you review more (using a multimedia, multiple intelligence training approach in a web-based membership site) any time you please, as many times as you wish during the life of your account.
On the other hand, regular or face-to-face (or OFFLINE) review seminars conducted by accredited review service providers will give a Certificate of Completion. In some cases, this may even be notarized.
Question: What happens if I miss some of the CRESAR sessions?
In fairness, your Certificate of Completion will indicate the number of credit units that you’ve earned. So if you were present for only 112 of the 120 hours, then you earned only 112 credit units.
Even if you’ve paid for the entire 120-hour CRESAR.
Anyway, it will help you a lot if you get in touch with the various CRESAR organizers, so that you can discuss in greater detail the payment and the recognition of credit units.
As we get more info from the different CRESAR review service providers, we will post their information online.
Please get in touch with them and ask them if they are accredited by the PRC. We asked some of them and got different answers:
Yes, we’re accredited by the PRC.
We’re still waiting for the PRC to release their Accreditation Guidelines.
Given the varying answers, we recommend that you please get in touch with the different review service providers, ask them your questions, and judge for yourselves once you hear their answers.
Good luck and happy reviewing! 🙂
