2010 Real Estate Brokers’ Review

Lots of people have been asking about the 2010 real estate brokers’ review, in preparation for the Dec 5 and 6, 2010 real estate brokers’ licensure examination that will be conducted by the PRC.

There have been no announcements yet from accredited review service providers. Here’s why…

The PRC has recently issued a consultative draft of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the RESA Law.

In short, no one yet knows what is the final list of topics that will be covered in the upcoming December 2010 real estate brokers exam. While it is true that some of the topics are similar to topics covered in exams given prior to the passage of the RESA Law, the fact remains that the IRR is still just a consultative draft.

Hopefully, things will be settled by August or September 2010, to give reviewees enough time to prepare for the 2010 real estate brokers’ exam in the Philippines.

Just the same, some people are organizing Real Estate Exam Online Review Classes.

[From the Admin] Yes, the online review is still available. Please join the Online Review Announcement List for details.

We’re still awaiting the announcement of schedules of CRESARs offered by accredited review service providers. As soon as we get their info, we will post all these online.

Hello. I really wanted to be a broker and willing to take the reviews, seminars and exams. I am currently 4th years student, 19 years old, have taken almost 300 units in college. With this information, do you think that I have sufficient requirements needed to take the exam and to be a broker?

Above all. I am willing to learn and explore the field of real estate.

I am hoping for your sincerest response.

    Thank you.

[From the Admin] Please earn your college degree first. In the past, people who attended Comprehensive Real Estate Seminar and Review (CRESAR) sessions were able to use their Certificate of Completion/Attendance up to 12 months after they attended the CRESAR.

We don’t know yet how long the PRC will deem such Certificates valid, for purposes of those who wish to apply for a Permit to take the real estate brokers’ licensure examinations.

If you take your chances and attend a CRESAR in 2010, and then graduate in April 2011, that means you can use your Certificate of Attendance in applying for a real estate brokers’ exam between April 2011 and September 2011 (or December 2011, depending on when you complete your CRESAR).

If you enroll in a CRESAR and complete it in December 2010, then your Certificate of Completion will be valid until December 2011, assuming the PRC follows the previous practice of the DTI prior to the passage of the RESA Law (RA 9646) IRR.

So the question that remains is: Will the PRC conduct a real estate broker’s licensure exam between April 2011 and December 2011?

Here’s our recommendation: Please focus first on earning your college degree. Thanks!

[From the Admin] There has been no announcement yet, as far as we can tell. When you attend the regular, live, face-to-face review seminars (i.e., those conducted by the Cesar Santos Real Estate Academy), they will help offer you a filing of requirements service for a nominal fee.
